Helzberg Diamonds is a name of a 270-store jewelry retailer. It was founded in 1915 by Morris Helzberg. Soon after the founding of Helzberg, in 1963, Morris Helzberg became ill and the company was taken over by his son, Barnett Helzberg Sr., he was 14 years old. Barnett Helzberg Sr. became the Chairman of the Board. While his son, Barnett Helzberg Jr., took over company operations. Barnett Jr. replaced his father in the Chairman position in 1988. But after a few years, in 1995, Barnett Jr. sold the company to Warren Buffett, the owner of Berkshire Hathaway. Then Barnett Jr. wrote a book “What I Learned Before I Sold to Warren Buffett”
